lyrics

I try to keep a stable mind
I try to stay the patient one
You’ve been making plans for us
Never thinking about the fun

We’re all prisoners of pride
Don’t think you’re the only one
Seems to me you’ll be ok
Just tell them you’re good and done

Maybe it’s ok not to be ok
All you gotta do is Turn the Page

Tried my best to follow suit
Acted like I gave a damn
But if things don’t go your way
You won’t smile I’m glad I can
Some folks don’t have any work
Some won’t have a bed tonight
I’m thankful things aren’t so bad
But for you, they’re never right

Maybe it’s ok not to be ok
All we gotta do is Turn the Page
Maybe it’s ok just to be ok
It’s not real life it’s a gilded cage

about

Andy Hawkins UK

Inspired by Bob Dylan, Brian Fallon and Billy Bragg, Andy signed up for songwriting coaching with Canadian songwriter Billy Pettinger. He then traded in his 60 hour work weeks and unforgiving boss for a gig as a security guard so he could focus on writing. ... more
